There is a reason we all dream of escaping to a private beach oasis. There is a calming emotion attached to sitting on a beach, sipping a piña colada, and reveling with sand between your toes.
It’s because – Here, you are without a care in the world! But why can’t you have that same feeling from home?
With everything occurring in the world right now, we wanted to offer our Energy To Go customers something fun to let that Summer sun into their homes.
Summer 2020 is not canceled, but rather, just beginning. So here are a few ideas we’ve gathered to help make home an even happier sanctuary for you this season:
Embrace Tropical Décor & Color –
Think of the resorts you see in Hawaii or tropical islands. Whether you’ve personally visited or just seen them in movies, you can picture it, right?
Bring some of that décor inspiration into your own home. This can be accomplished with things such as:
- Beachy patterns
- Pastels or brighter colors
- Light and breezy textiles
- Nothing too dark or heavy
- Adding floral or nautical prints
Add Flowers & Plants –
Natural plants will be best for increasing oxygen in your home, but you can opt for fake plants and receive a similar placebo effect in stress reduction.
If you have a pet, be careful about the plant type you bring home because many are toxic when consumed by pets. Regardless if they are real or fake, just being surrounded by lush greenery will be very relaxing on your overstimulated psyche.
Declutter –
Sometimes, we are overwhelmed by the amount of stuff in our homes, without even realizing how overstimulating it is. Possessions can be great indications of our memories, photos of our life, and we often have a feeling of ‘identity’ attached to each thing we own. Keep the items that spark joy in your heart (as Marie Kondo says), and remove the things from your home that no longer bring you joy. Donate it forward to someone in need so that it’s joy can be recycled.
All of these tips will help your home to feel brighter and lighter. We hope they help inspire you to let in the sunshine for Summer 2020!
